Old Navy is hit or miss for me. Gap jeans don’t even go up over my thighs! NY & Co. seems to do well 75% of the time. Tommy Hilfiger Jeans are my favorite though. They are hard to find around here. I also like i.e. jeans, but since Macy’s bought out Hecht’s you can’t find them!
What kinds of jeans do you like? Are you into trendy jeans, classic, bootcut, flared? Do you dig a little stretch? I am bootcut/stretch fan. How can you go wrong with that? Stretch is man’s best friend! Next to Gracie the Boston of course!
This card reminds me of denim. It’s the colors obviously! I used my new SU! paper in Bayou Blue and Soft Sky. They are beautiful together! Along with my old stand by of Shimmery White, how can you go wrong? I didn’t get the Bayou Blue ink pad, but the Not Quite Navy seems to work well with this paper. The Baroque Set from SU! was used here and I also used an A Muse Sentiment. I popped up the circle-ish shapes and sentiment. I also used my ticket punch on the corners.
This was a quick and easy card, but the result is elegant in a relaxed way, you know, not fussy.

I got my SU! preorder stuff on Friday! I am so in love with my new colors and the Baroque set! I made several cards with it today.
This one in particular I was really pleased with. I used my new Soft Sky paper and ink on this one. I also used some scrap black and white polka dot paper. I cut and popped up the roundish images. I thentook the flowers and punched them out with my 3/4″ circle punch. I stamped the images in Palette Noir and Soft Sky. The center of the middle image is set off with an ice SU! brad. The sentiment is by A Muse.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend- I sure did! Stay tuned for some stamping this week! I have lots to share and will have some blog candy to give out too!

I love vacation, but I was seriously missing my house, bed and DH! He is so sweet and I know he missed me too. I love my “girls trips”, but Mr. LOL is my buddy. I missed him more than usual this time. *insert icky lovey dovey sigh*
So, I got home, unpacked, did 3 loads of laundry and hung out with my pup and my guy. Life is good.
Here a few pics of the kids from the trip. I love those kids. They are so funny andpretty darn sweet. Lexie is 12 and Scottie is 8. Great kids. They look so happy and Scott is looking so goofy in this pic!!
I did have the opportunity to work on some projects while away. I was pretty happy with them too! This one, another beach theme, was inspired by our trip to the board walk. The base of this card is Whisper White, and the blue layer is a piece of Basic Grey scrap. I drew the waves on and added 2 way glue and glitter to make them shimmer and the “horizon” shine too.
I used Close to Cocoa to mimic the pier and colored the legs on. The surf shop is stamped in Palette Noir, and colored in with Sakura Gel pens, as is the Surfer. All images are by A Muse.
I hope your week is going well. I don’t want to go to work tomorrow, but *sigh* I have to. Have a great night.

I am currently hanging out in the little town of Dewey Beach, DE. If you remember correctly, I blogged from down here around Easter when Mr. LOL and I were staying at my parents place. I am down here again with Mom, Kelly, her kids and the Bostons. So fun!
Check these pics out. Aren’t they the cutest babies ever??? Grace is a huge fan of the sun and surf. Tinker… not so much. She is afraid of everything.
I got to make a fun card with my Crab & Co. set and an A Muse sentiment today. This is for the A Muse Challenge 7, Gleaming Glitter. I usedsome watercolor paper for the main image on this card. Mr. Crab is stamped in Palette Noir and is colored with an aqua painter and WCW crayons. The sand is covered in Diamond Stickles for that “sparkley sand” look. I cut out and popped up his party hat. I also added some “googley” eyes for fun! The sentiment is stamped in Noir too. The layer is Pumpkin Pie and the base is real red.
I was really happy with the grainy look the Stickles actually gave the sand.
We are having a wonderful time here at the beach. I hope the weather holds up for tomorrow. We had some sever thunderstorms today. I do like a rainy day here at our place. The roof lets in all that wonderful “pitter-patter” from the rain. Love that.

I finished my round 1 card swap for my next A-Muse-A-Palooza swap! There are still a couple of spots to fill, so check it out here on my blog or over at SCS to sign up!
For this little cutie, I used SU! Designer paper in Paisleys and Polka Dots, Shimmer White and Cool Caribbean. All Images are by A Muse, Kissing couple, That’s Amore, and Scalloped Oval. I stamped the couple in Palette Noir and the sentiment is in Cool Caribbean. I stamped the oval in Tempting Turquoise Marker and punched out the scallop with my Marvy Mega Scalloped Oval. The large oval is Marvy’s Giga punch. I had some fab sheer polka dot ribbon in a light pink and used my Sakura Souffle pens to color in the couple and add the dots around the scallop. It is so cute IRL!
If you want in on this card and some of the other fab ones I have planned for my other two rounds, let me know! Email me at the link above!

Today I am sitting at work trying to figure out what to take to the shore next week so I can stamp. I am a little worried! I am not sure what to take! I have to say I honestly hate taking my stamping stuff out of my office. What if I leave something and end up needing it? That is my worst fear. I always over pack stuff too. That isn’t good either!
I am really enjoying the A Muse Summer Release stamps- soooo cute! This card, featuring MaKenna, is a favorite of mine. I used some of my Basic Grey paper that is a super fun stripe. I used the paper a pieced it on her dress too. The base is Cool Caribbean, the layers are Pumpkin Pie and Shimmer White. I used Doodlebug paper frills to accent the striped strip. MaKenna is stamped in Pallette Noir and colored with reinkers and she is grounded on the Small Oval in Cool Caribbean. Her lolli is covered in Fruit Punch Stickles. The sentiment is from SU!’s So Very set.

So I need your help… please help me create a “laundry list of stuff to take to the shore next week for stamping. I need all the suggestions I can get!
Here is my list so far:
1. Markers (instead of inks)
2. Pallette Noir
3. Stamps
4. A variety of card-stock and other papers
5. Paper trimmer
6. Gel Pens
7. Scissors
8. Stamp scrubber/cleaner
9. Paper Piercer
10. Punched out shapes
