Altered Letters and Andee’s Candies

Published by andeecate at 4:42 pm under Uncategorized

Nothing too exciting to report. I had a productive weekend. I did 7  loads of laundry (give or take), cleaned the garage, and did a set of altered letters for my BIL’s son, Rocco. They wanted the letters simple and in browns and greens, so this is what I came up with:

  42207-011.jpg

They are a little plain for my liking, but exactly what they wanted for Rocco’s nursery. I couldn’t get a good photo either. That was frustrating! Here are the ingredients:

MM Letters

Cosmo Cricket paper

K & Co. paper

SU! paper in Certainly Celery

SU! Ink in Close to Cocoa

SU! Ribbons and Non SU! Ribbons

SU! Hardware

Cuttlebug

Mod Podge

Sanding block

Also, I have some Andee’s Candies to give away… I had ordered some odds and ends from an online store in MD, and picked up a few VersaMagic Dew Drops. Well they sent me 2 that were wrong and told me to keep them. I have a Pink Grapefruit and an Aquatic Splash! Hence, we have blog candy! I am also giving away a few yards of ribbon by Prima Marketing Inc. and another little surprise *wink*

I will also have some ribbon runner ups! So post your questions! More than one if you like!

Here is what you need to do, let’s play 20 questions (or a form of, rather). Ask me what ever you want! I will pick the most interesting question as my winner! I will post your questions with my answers throughout the week!

The winner will be picked on Thursday!

Happy Monday!

Andrea

I guess my question for you, Andrea, would be what I would love to be able to figure out for myself. How do you start your card design if you are not CASEing it? The only way I am able to do a card is by totally copying it–maybe not the stamps or paper, but the structure of it. I just can’t come up with ideas on my own. You are so talented that I would love to know your thought process so maybe I could work on mine. Thanks. Love your work and thanks for the candy. PS. I have a son who lives near you and his girlfriend works at the convention center.

Fabulous candies! Since I’m an engineer, I have to ask you “what do you think has been the best invention of your lifetime?”
    Thanks!

First off, I love your blog! Second, my question would be…what or who got you started in stamping? Where did all of your motivation come from? Sorry..I guess that’s 2 questions :)

    Ooh fun candy!! :)

My question is what is missing from SU line of products that you wish you they made/where do you think they are going? There are so many fun interesting stamp sets coming out - I wonder if they will make any adjustments in their style!

Thanks for sharing your creations ~

OK, my question is: what’s your favorite stamping tool? (any kind of tool, anything goes)

This is the first time I’ve ever done this but you’ve caught me in a mood (wink). Here goes:

Where did the name Mr. LOL come from?

OK - we all want to know about one another’s creative process so we can slip a little of that in our own pockets! But I want to know, as we all become a little more sedate in life and crafting becomes our outlet, what is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? I love being a mom and creating, but I like to think back to those crazy carefree college days!

If you had to have another hobby, other than stamping, what would it be?

Gawd…I can’t think of any interesting questions…any tattoos?

When you were little, what did you think you were going to be?

Fun questions so far! Mine is: Do you ever get sick of the chocolate smell? I visited Hershey a couple of summers ago and was surprised at how much it really did smell like chocolate - then went to the Reese’s plant (My fave - yum!) and it smelled like peanut butter!

I am enjoying your blog. Please tell me the reason that you are partial to Boston Terriers. (besides the fact they are so CUTE:-) My husband said he had one when he was young & the only thing he remembers about Cuddles is that he was very gassy. I am interested in hearing about this breeds attributes.
    Thanks, Linda SS

Boy that’s a tough one! Everyone has such great questions to ask of you. I guess my question would be: “If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?”.

  15. Kimmieon 24 Apr 2007 at 7:21 am

I’m going to ask ….. what was the best lesson that you ever learned to help you through life??

  16. Stephanieon 24 Apr 2007 at 9:34 am

Hmmmmm…..a question…….How about: What was your favorite and least favorite part of high school?

  17. Shannonon 24 Apr 2007 at 10:47 am

What is the one simple thing you can’t live without? I will give my answer….pony tail holders, so I can put all of this long curly mess out of my way while I clean, cook or more importantly stamp!!!

Great job on the ROCCO letters ;) love ‘em!

    Now for a question!
What was the craziest thing you have ever done?
I will share mine if you email me ;) hehehe

Hi Andrea….I love your blog. By the way, I had to go to the beginning to get a small glimpse of your life, what you like, and to see your creativity. I can see you are extremely blessed, not only with a loving hubby, but also a large family, beautiful house, and the cutest dog!!!
My question to you is: Where do you want to be in life in 5 years? 10 years? Do you dream of children? A career? You mentioned you work in a family business…can you share more?
Lot’s of questions…..I think we all gain such a wealth of knowledge and inspiration from each other….and I thank you for being so open with your talents and loves!!!

My question is what is your favorite thing to do with your stamping supplies? I have a hard time deciding I love glass etching, altering iteams, making ornaments and cards. It’s all good!

I swear my dog (a papillon) can read my mind…alright, maybe its light reading, but it can’t be easy because my thought pattern flicks around between subjects so fast its hard to figure out. (see? where was I…) Some people think dogs can read their owners minds and seem to be one step ahead of them. What do you think?

Neat idea….my question is this: How high is “UP”?
